WELCOME TO THE FAMILY

Laura has been a qualified ISTD teacher and choreographer since 1999 and worked as a performer and choreographer for many years both in the UK and abroad.​

​

She continues her professional development regularly attending courses at the ISTD, The Royal Ballet School and attending top teacher conventions with industry professionals.

​

In her spare time, Laura can be found working on her other companies GYP Youth Theatre Company and Standout Dance Intensives, or judging at a major dance competition.

​

Her passion lies in training the next generation of dancers and performers and striving to provide a theatre education that is both structured and inspiring for all ages.

​

Hazel trained at the Millennium Musical Theatre College and holds her teaching qualifications in Tap, Modern, Musical Theatre and Freestyle.

​

She has been a huge part of the school since she first joined back in 2008, working extensively across all departments with a real passion for tap dance.

​

She also teaches at the London College of Performing Arts.

​

Her choreography experience includes West Side Story, Gigi, Me and My Girl and Fame back in her hometown in Scotland.  She also choreographed for the British Gymnastics Championships.

​

Hazel has a real passion for competitive dance and has been choreographing for the competition team alongside Laura for many years.  She is also the GSPA competition team coordinator.

​

Megan trained at the Miskin Theatre College following 10 years of training under Laura Gillham since the age 8 years old.

​

Following her graduation, she returned as a full time member of staff at GSPA with a real passion for the Primary and Junior Departments at the school.

​

As an ex student, she has an authentic understanding of the values of the school and brings an incredible energy to her teaching.

​

Megan choreographs for the GSPA Mini Performance Team having extensive experience of competition life.

​

She is also the Head of Admissions here at the school coordinating our waiting list and annual intakes along with our annual examination sessions with the ISTD &IDTA.

​

Ellie trained at Arts Educational School in London and after graduating, had an incredible career around the globe touring in "Spirit of the Dance". 

​

During her career, she has performed at venues including the Royal Opera House and worked as Assistant Choreographer or Dance Captain alongside some incredible names including Olivier Award winning Bill Deamer.

​

In addition to teaching, she can regularly be found judging at Hotshots Dance Competition heats around the UK.

​

Ella trained at Gillham School of Performing Arts from a young age.

​

Following her graduation, she returned as a member of staff at GSPA with a real passion for the Musical Theatre Department at the school.

​

As an ex student, she has an authentic understanding of the values of the school and brings is grateful to be able to share her passion for theatre with the students.

​

Ella's credits include playing Martha in Spring Awakening at the Pleasance Theatre and Joanne in Rent at the Cockpit Theatre.

​

Ella is also a performing arts mentor with a mission to empower performers to step out of their comfort zone and into their power both inside and outside of the studio.

​

Lucy trained at the Royal Northern College of Music and graduated with both a BA and MA of Music.

​

After graduating, she worked professionally in operetta and musical theatre completing national tours and long running contracts.

​

Lucy's passion now lies in teaching and she works on a broad mixture of repertoire exploring different styles of music including musical theatre, pop and classical.

​

Students can train with Lucy on a 1-1 basis and there is an option to be entered for graded singing exams with the LAMDA examination  board.

​

Sam trained at the Christine Wheatley Dance Studios where she went on to train as a dance teacher with the ISTD & IDTA.

​

She has been teaching dance for over 30 years and in addition to this has worked closely within local theatre.

​

Sam has worked within child safeguarding in the performing arts for the majority of her career holding a full chaperones license, taking part in extensive training and liaising with the local councils to license young performers when appearing in shows.

​

She has been Show Manager at GSPA since 2009 overseeing the backstage running and chaperone team at all of our productions.

​

Sam is the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for GSPA.
